Orange Cake

Cooking in Israel - Orange Cake


1/2 cup orange juice
2 cup self raise flour
1 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup oil (canola)
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
3/4 cup pecan nuts roughly chopped

Ingredientsfor topping

1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup pecan nuts roughly chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon


  1. Heat oven to 1700C (3400F).
  2. Mix well the ingredients for the cake.
  3. Bake about 30-40 min (check with a wood stick).
  4. Pour the orange juice straight away after taking the cake out the oven.
  5. Mix the sugar, nuts and cinnamon and spread on top of the cake.
